"Cofece en números 2024" es un informe anual que presenta las principales acciones, cifras y resultados de la Comisión Federal de Competencia Económica (Cofece) durante 2024. Detalla los procedimientos tramitados (concentraciones, prácticas monopólicas, barreras a la competencia), la aplicación de la ley (sanciones, investigaciones, resoluciones), actividades de promoción a la competencia (eventos, publicaciones, colaboraciones institucionales) y el impacto económico de su labor. También incluye avances en mercados digitales, sostenibilidad y educación, con énfasis en transparencia, eficiencia y rendición de cuentas.
El documento es la memoria del Premio Cofece de Ensayo 2024, en la que se presentan los ganadores y menciones honoríficas en dos categorías: Licenciatura y Maestría/Doctorado. Contiene los títulos y resúmenes de los ensayos premiados, los cuales abordan distintos temas relacionados con la competencia económica en México.
Los temas tratados incluyen regulación de mercados digitales, competencia en servicios financieros, concentración en el mercado laboral, competencia en el sector de streaming, nearshoring, monopolios de datos, competencia en inteligencia artificial, impacto de las grandes tecnológicas, entre otros. Además, se presentan estadísticas sobre la participación de universidades y autores en el concurso, así como una lista del jurado calificador.
Cada ensayo ganador analiza problemas específicos en distintos mercados y propone soluciones para fomentar la competencia económica. Se destaca la importancia de la regulación efectiva, la eliminación de barreras a la competencia y el papel de la Cofece en la vigilancia del mercado.
