Technical Secretariat

The  Technical Secretariat of the Commission is competent to to substantiate the analyses of concentration that are notified by economic agents; to issue opinions on the bases of tenders, concessions or permits and its participants; issue opinions and recommend promoting actions of competition regarding programs, policies, provisions or regulatory acts; conduct economic studies on the conditions of competition in the markets; conduct the trial-like procedures in cases of monopolistic practices and unlawful concentrations, as well as the second stage of the procedures to determine barriers to competition, essential facilities or the existence of effective competition conditions in markets. It is also responsible to attest to voting processes, issue minutes and prepare the stenographic versions of the Board of Commissioner’s sessions.
